You did a fantastic job on the refinishing of this piece, but the tiger oak loses a lot in the use of a dark stain, imho. I love oak and hate to see it covered up by dark stain.

My mom was 5 years old when my grandmother purchased an old kitchen corner cabinet from a neighbor for $15. My grandfather carried it home on his back. My mom is now 82 and the cabinet sits in the corner of my kitchen. This is my sentimental piece.

I bought the very same 1939 Philco Art Deco floor cabinet multi band radio model several years ago for 65 bucks. It is now a custom 15-Watt Guitar Amp cabinet that doubles as a CD-AM- FM jukebox.

So glad to see any old piece of furniture stripped of ugly paint jobs and restored to their original wood finish. And hello from a Yooper living in Colorado!

Spectacular outcome perfect finish choice

My mom made me get rid of my college coffee table when I was in my50’s. It held memories of joints burning on the edge and beer stains. I was sad to see it go but I couldn’t take the harassment. I still have the dressers left behind by someone who lived in my old college apartment in Boulder Colorado before me.

I agree with your statement to many people I see refinishing furniture paint them. Especially beautiful wood grain and there color. Covering up pieces in oak, walnut and hardwood pieces. I think your woodworking skills are really impressive. Keep up the good work.❤😊

That Tiger Oak is beautiful. And despite your short time doing restorations, your attention to details more than compensates. Please keep up your efforts, the results are phenomenal. I subscribed as soon as I encountered yoUr channel, and have never been disappointed.

Today, l just picked up my Dad and my brothers flags from the engraver who did the name plate for the cases l have the flags in cased. It took 19 years and 7 years to get the name plates done . The plate doesn't just have their name but their rank, brank they serviced under but the war they where in at the time they served. I thought my Mom had my brother's done years ago. Daddy's flag wasn't even a case until last month.
